Core Programs

Scholarships

Provide a chosen youth with a music instrument, music lessons for one hour per week and transportation. Youths, K-12, are eligible.

Youth Jazz Bands

Establish youth jazz bands throughout Western North Carolina. Professional direction, for each band will be provided.

Jazz Jumpers

Establish one jump rope team. A chorographer/coach will guide the team, as routines are developed, to the tune of smooth mountain jazz. The intent is to establish additional teams, leveraging the learning from the first team’s experience

Tap Dance

Establish tap dancing troupes throughout Western North Carolina .Dance teachers and chorographers will develop the troupes.

Jazz Performances

Jazz performances for the community will be produced and performed by members of Youth at Jazz bands, tap dance troupes and jump ropers. The performances will be fundraising and community building activities.

Support Skills Development

Youths interested in sound, lighting, production, event planning on any relevant skills will be offered support by subject matter experts.
